About Christophe Varidel

Christophe Varidel never made the NBA nor played in any big leagues. However, he beat the odds with basketball and enjoyed (and still enjoys) a fairytail journey with basketball. Growing up as a 6’1 ½” guard in Switzerland, he earned a full scholarship to attend Division I program Florida Gulf Coast University, helped his team to an historic Sweet 16 run in the 2013 NCAA tournament, broke a NCAA scoring record (31 points in one half vs. Baylor University), played professionally, and represented his country as a National Team member.

After a career shortened by injuries, he stayed in the game by organizing basketball camps through his organisation StrideYourPassion and working with some of the most talented young Swiss players. He is also engaged in community work through basketball in Aftrica (Guinea-Bissau & Tanzania)
